theusertohavecertainpermissionsonobjects.Anychangein
theroleofthisusertoanotherVirtualCenterrolewithfewerprivilegeshindersStage
Manageroperations.Forexample,assigningtheusertotheNoAccessrolein
VirtualCenterforanobject,suchasaresourcepool,blocksthevisibility
ofthisobjectin
aStageManagerenvironment.Forinformationaboutrolesandsettingobject

IfyousetuptheStageManagerconnectiontotheVirtualCenterServerwith
VirtualCenteradministratorcredentials,youhavethepropercredentialstomakethis
connection.

theStageManagerconnectiontotheVirtualCenterServerwithuser
credentialsthatdonothaveVirtualCenteradministratorprivileges,completethese
tasks:
Setupauserrole(forexample,aStage_Manager_Userrole)inVirtualCenterwith
theminimumprivilegeslistedinTable 3‐1.
AddaWindowsuserontheVirtualCentersystemtotherole.
InthePermissionstaboftheVIClient,specifyaccesspermissionsfortheuserto
therootfolder(Hosts&ClustersintheleftpaneoftheVIClient)andthe
datacenterthatworkswithStageManager.Propagatethepermissionstoallchild
objectsinthedatacenter.
TheVIclientenables
youtoassignpermissionsforobjects,suchasadatacenter,
cluster,host,andresourcepool.StageManagercanonlyworkwithonedatacenter
atatime.
