Youcansetpolicyoptionsfortwotypesofsnapshots:
Reimagesnapshots–Atinstallationtime,asnapshotistakenafterallofthe
requiredinstancesetupstepsarecomplete,including,ifapplicable,encryption,
instancecustomization,anddomainjoin.Thesnapshotistakenbeforethevirtual
machinerunsforthefirsttime.
ReimagesnapshotsallowtheACEadministrator,ortheuseriftheadministrato
r
enablesreim
agesnapshotoptionsfortheuser,toreverttheACEinstancetoits
knowngoodstartingstateortotheknowngoodupdatedreimagestate.
Ifyouenablereimagesnapshotoptions,commandsfortheoptionsappearinthe
VM>Snapshotmenu.
Ifyouchoosenottoenablethereimagesnaps
hotoptionsfortheuser,youcan
replacethereimagesnapshotorreverttoitontheuser’smachinebyproviding
administratormodeaccessthroughtheAdministratorModepolicy.See“Setting
AdministratorModePolicies”onpage 419.
Usersnapshots–YoucanenableuserstotakeasnapshotoftheACEinstance
eitherwhentheinstanceisrunningorimmediatelyafterpoweringitoff.Youcan
alsoenablethemtodeletethatusersnapshot.
Usersnapshotsenabletheusertoreturnthevirtualmachinetoaknownstable
state.Us
ersnapshotscanbetaken,rev
ertedto,anddeletedwithoutaffectingthe
reimagesnapshot.Onlyoneusersnapshotcanbesavedatatime.
